This little man gets more adorable every time I see him! This time we decided to go with a bit of an d UP or Travel theme, and I like how it turned out. Despite the cold weather we got some darling shots of little “A” and his family! Enjoy guys!

I have been photographing weddings here in the Reno/Tahoe area for over a decade now, in fact my very first wedding was back in 1998, shortly after I graduated High School, so suffice it to say that I have seen many many people in love commit their lives to each other. I ADORE weddings, and I have a deep reverence for the institution of marriage itself (going on 15 years married to the man of my dreams). There is something so life affirming and beautiful about being a part of that day. Being present when two people who have, by some divine miracle, managed to find that one person in the whole world who was made just for them, who compliments them so perfectly, declare publicly that they cannot imagine their future without one another is a true honor! Being chosen to capture that day, to record every detail and preserve it for future generations, to create images that will forever evoke memories of that one special day, is beyond an honor, there are no words! I take my job so seriously, I realize how important what I do is to the people who hire me and when I get to work with clients as special and beautiful inside and out as Nicole and Charles, well I just have to pinch myself, because I am so blessed! I cannot count how many times dear Nicole thanked me on her wedding day and since, she is beyond graceful and a true delight! Charles and Nicole are headed towards a bright and truly lovely future together, and I just thank God they allowed me to be a small part of the day they said “WE DO”!

I always enjoy photographing imaginative and energetic little boys like this kiddo! I guess it’s fascinating to me how much they differ from my own daughter at that age who would have preferred to sing and dance and spin in a princess dress than to don a super-hero cape and fight crime. I love the way a child of this age is so creative in their play and storytelling, the things they say just crack me up. One such example, as I was working with this little super-boy was at one point he ducks around a corner and shouts to his mother and me “you guys handle the bad guys, I’m gonna hide over here” to which I just totally lost it, such a character, this kid! We had so much fun jumping off parking lot planters and window ledges (at a very low height) and making our cape fly in the wind, and climbing up and down and back up again. Oh to be 4 years old again, right!!? Needless to say I love these shots, so much personality packed into his little frame and so much energy, I think he should start a workout club, and we can just follow his every move for an hour or so, we would most definitely burn some serious calories 🙂 With that I present “Super I” and his super family!!
