Hi, I'm Christie! I am the wife of 22 years to an amazing High School Math Teacher and Wrestling coach, a man I adore and who has supported my dreams and helped me achieve them. I am also the mother of an incredibly talented and compassionate 23 year old young woman who has the heart of a saint and the voice of an angel!

I started my journey with photography at the age of 13 when I had an incredible dream one night in which I was photographing a waterfall at sunset and woke up feeling so euphorically happy and fulfilled that I knew that would be my future. I later saw a photo of that same waterfall from my dream, it was Victoria Falls in Africa, where I hope to visit someday. I told my dad I wanted to be a photographer when I grew up and he started to teach me on his old Ricoh 35mm camera and I never looked back. I was the girl in High School with my own key to the school’s darkroom. Photography has been my passion and my creative outlet for most of my life at this point.

In 2001 as a young new wife and mom I decided that I wanted to make photography my full time job. In the beginning it was rough, I worked a number of different jobs to help cover my families’ bills and to help put my husband through college, but perseverance and passion won out and in 2007 I was able to quit working for other people and began running my business from my home full time. Two years later I was blessed to find a perfect little starter space to open up a true brick and mortar studio in MidTown Reno and I operated out of that space for 4 years. After that we moved the business into an adorable 1920's bungalow also in MidTown and in 2014 we purchased that little house as a business investment and studio space. I loved that little place and though it was a really great place and the location was really perfect for my clients, I had always wanted to have a home-based studio space, and at that time our current home did not have the space so in 2017 we sold the cute place in MidTown and our home in Sparks and bought a new home in Sparks that offered all the space we needed for our family and for me to set up my dream home studio.

I feel so blessed and grateful for everything my photography business has provided for my family, and I feel confident that God has truly poured out His grace on this business and my family. My one desire and hope for all my clients is to provide them with beautiful photos that capture true emotion and showcase their families’ real personalities. I have a daughter who is now 18 years old and currently, as I write this, traveling the world as a Christian Missionary, helping people in far off places. I treasure all the photos and videos I have of her and our family, and being able to look back on special memories makes missing her so much more bearable.

I know how fast life flies by, believe me, and I know how quickly our babies grow up. I want everyone I work with to be able to look back fondly, as I do, on the images of their children and feel the love and joy that I do every time I see my families faces on my walls and in my photo albums. Life is too short and too precious not to do everything we can to preserve and protect our memories, this is what I do!
