The joy of what I do is in working with families who just really really love each other and have no problem showing that for the camera! I think these three kids may have been the most cooperative and yet still adorably playful kids I have had in a long time! They loved to ham it up for the camera and showing their unique and beautiful personalities!

Mom and dad made this so easy on me, look at how sweet and obviously in love they are, come on now! I loved every minute I spent with them and really adore these images that came from it our fun time.

Christie Mumm of JLM Creative Photography is a Portrait Photographer and Print Artist located in Sparks Nevada. She serves families in the Reno, Lake Tahoe areas as well as Northern Nevada and Northern California. There is something so sweet and so special about documenting a family as they grow! I love that I am able to freeze moments in time and catch small glimpses of the future grown-up’s that the tiny humans in from of my lens will some day be. As I work with each family I have the pleasure of photographing I am astounded at how each child is a small reflection of each of their parents. I delight in catching the little nuances of how “she smiles like her dad” or “he wrinkles his nose like his mom when he giggles”. I particularly love seeing how older siblings are typically just naturally fascinated and drawn to show affection for their younger siblings.

This family and newborn portrait session was such fun! Little miss L was the perfect reflections of her loving and attentive parents who obviously allow her imaginations and spark of childhood joy to blossom in their care! I simply loved how thrilled she was to borrow a twirly white dress from my studio wardrobe and show me just how very well the layers of tulle would fluff and spin when she danced!

Little baby L is their newest addition and already has his sisters love! She was so careful when we placed him in her arms, and her pride as the big sister was unmistakable!

This family and newborn session is the kind of thing that just makes my artists heart sing, it was an absolute joy to create these special images for this darling family!

Ashley’s Snow Queen Themed Senior Session

Hello all, yes, I am still here, believe it or not. Bad at blogging YES, but still here!

Today I have a gorgeous High School Senior girl Ashley in her Snow Queen themed Senior Session.

What a fun session, we really had a blast running around the woods, twirling, and playing with the last bit of snow!

I have to say I really love doing a themed senior session, it’s just so great to work out the wardrobe, hair and makeup and pull together something new and special to this one kid!

Ashley has been my daughters BFF since they were little girls, and I have to tell you, seeing this girl all grown up was definitely bittersweet. Ashley is a talented actress and social media rock-star and I know she is just going to take the world by storm, blizzard even, lol!
